My game keeps freezing or crashing! How can I fix this?

If a player is encountering errors with Hero Academy 2 on a device, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check to make sure your device meets the minimum requirements to run Hero Academy 2.
  2. Make sure your Device’s operating system is up-to-date.
  3. Close all other programs or applications, even those running in the background.
  4. If your device is at full capacity or has no memory, try clearing up some space and reopening a new session.
  5.  Uninstall and then reinstall the application on your device. Be sure to first Register your Account if you have not done so to prevent lost data. If you uninstall a non-registered account, your data cannot be recovered. 
  6. For best performance, we recommend using a wireless internet or Wi-fi connection instead of cellular data where available. You may also try swapping your connection types to see if this improves performance.

If you experience issues on your Android Device, try clearing the Hero Academy 2 cache data.

    • Register your Account if you have not done so to prevent lost data.
    • (Please note, due to the number of Android devices each step may vary slightly.) While not in the Hero Academy 2 application open your Device Settings > Applications > Storage > Clear Cache
    • Free up device memory by closing any background apps.

If you experience issues on your iOS Device, make sure you are running the latest Operating system.

  • To verify: Open your device's Settings > General > Software Update. Here, you can see if there are any updates which are available. (Please note, due to the number of iOS devices each step may vary slightly.)
    • Register your Account if you have not done so to prevent lost data before updating.
    • Free up device memory by closing any background apps.
